K-array i Legoland

A well-known family theme park in Billund, Denmark has installed K-array Kobra speakers for its park-wide PA system. The park managers were looking for technical excellence, endurance and clarity of sound, and in the ultraslim Kobras, they found the missing bricks in their toy house.

Denmark's K-array distributor installed the system, made up of 2 x KK200s at the park entrance, supported by 2 KKS50 subs. In addition, 5 KK100s have been strategically placed around the most important zones of the amusement park. The park managers needed unobtrusive, long-throw speakers for background music, for announcements and adverts. Using a digital mixer, the announcements are timed to occur at certain intervals during the day. To make day-to-day park life even easier, the system automatically detects crowd noise using a listening microphone and increases or decreases the volume of the announcements according to how many people there are in the park.

K-array's innovative, compact audio system on board Shanghai's new concept bar, Departure 10

Located in the new Datong Mill underground entertainment complex, Shanghai's latest addition to the nightlife scene, Departure 10, offers guests a full flight experience without ever leaving the ground.

D10 is shaped like a commercial airliner fuselage, divided into three distinct areas: first class VIP, business/coach class and the dancefloor/DJ area. Only the wings are missing.

Due to restricted space inside the airplane, the challenge was to design an audio system that could provide each zone with powerful, yet even coverage, while using a minimal amount of physical space.  In fact, for most areas of D10, the system chosen and installed by Sennheiser, is literally invisible, with new K-array Tornado KT20 CW miniature speakers fully integrated into the airplane's ceiling.

Two shopping malls at the heart of large passenger ships, the Serenade and the Symphonie, are the main attraction for customers who want to spend their Scandinavian voyage shopping or relaxing in cafés.  The ships are run by the Silja line and travel on the Baltic sea between Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia.  

Unintrusive speakers were needed for the two shopping centres which could provide speech, background music and audio for small performances, while remaining resilient for many years at sea.
